Os gerentes são examinados para determinar como seu desempenho deve ser retribuído ou penalizado motivando-os a ter resultados de auto nível.
Figueiredo (1997, p.27) entende que o profissional da contabilidade tem por objetivo garantir informação condizente ao processo, almejando êxito na administração, entre esse procedimento afirma que o planejamento determina e conserva um plano compartilhado para as transações coerentes com os objetivos e metas da organização, a longo e a curto prazo, que deverá ser averiguado e revisado regularmente, informando aos diversos níveis de gerência através de um adequado meio de comunicação.
Diz ainda que no controle: deverá produzir e reavaliar frequentemente os modelos de avaliação de resultado para que sirvam como parâmetros, aos outros gerentes no exercício de seus cargos, garantindo que o resultado verdadeiro das atividades esteja de acordo com o que foi estabelecido. Na informação julga que o contador deverá moldar, investigar e interpretar os resultados econômicos para serem utilizados pelos administradores no procedimento de tomada de decisão, avaliar os elementos coletados, tendo como modelo as metas das unidades e da organização.
